Uniform Issues
Karen Chase, Janine Bennett, and Tara Jennie had down selected from the SCORE catalog and brought three sample uniforms for the club members to look at and chose from.
Aside from specifics on the uniforms, there was much general discussion about how the club was going to handle the on going issue of a single uniform and the enforcement of it’s use. At the 08 January meeting, it was agreed that a single vender would be used along with a standard club logo.
The intent of a standard uniform is to provide the club a strong sense of unity as well as to help minimize the cost of uniforms to families over multiple seasons and teams. The question of enforcement has been much discussed and this continued. Publicizing the cost, so that parents would be aware of the saving gained by using the standard club uniform, was suggested. This would still allow teams to purchase their own uniforms. Mandating the use of standard uniforms was considered. Some felt the club would be over reaching its bounds by telling parents what their teams had to wear. Others felt that the unifying effect, cost savings, and voluntary nature of the club allow us to do such. This would be phased in as new teams formed or when complete sets of uniforms have to be replaced. Teams with new/current uniforms would be allowed to continue to use them and replace/add small numbers of uniforms as required
The concern of kids from other towns, playing under the Dryden name was also raised. The majority felt that this was not a concern. Kids, and adults, play on different town teams all over the place and playing under the Dryden name should not be a problem.
These issues have all been discussed over the past several months. A straw poll was taken to get a sense of how the club might vote. After the straw poll, two votes were taken.

DSC is still in need of a new Registrar as well as a Travel Team Coordinator:
Some brief discussion of how the club may be restructured to allow us more flexibility with the rec. and adult teams while still incorporating NYSW requirements in our by-laws for the travel teams.
At this point, the secretary had to depart to pick up children.
